The Arts Institute at Bournemouth, Borough of Poole Council, Bournemouth Media School, Dorset Buisnes and the South West Regional Development hosted this unique event to develop international business relationships.
Earlier this year, FdA Interactive Media students from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth displayed their talent in preparing a multi-media presentation for the joint trade mission visit toSingapore by Dorset Business and the Borough of Poole. The Enterprise Pavilion at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth was delighted to be the venue for the inward visit by the Singapore Trade Mission to Poole and to further display student talent with interactive media and animation presentations.
In his welcome address to the trade mission, John Last, Deputy Principal of the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, highlighted the significance to the local and national economy of the creative industries and, appropriately, the visit of the trade mission to the Enterprise Pavilion.
Commenting on the visit John Last said: “We welcomed the visit here to contribute to the debate about economic growth, economic regeneration and economic prosperity by working in collaboration. It was valuable to profile what we have to offer in the Poole area and within the Arts Institute. Most of all it was of considerable benefit to collaborate not simply in a business sense but as colleagues and friends who are exploring ways of working together in the fields of new media.”
