‘Enterprise and the Arts’, organised by the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and sponsored by the South West Regional Development Agency, was the first of three events aimed at the creative community; students, graduates and creative businesses. Each event has an individual focus on art, design or media and features prominent figures from the creative industries as well as showcasing emerging talent. The venue for all events is the Enterprise Pavilion*.
Enterprise and the Arts brought together practicing artists, businesses and organisations that support the arts to network, to share advice and success through a series of presentations and advice sessions.
Presentations by Arts & Business, Arts Matrix and Business Link Wessex were complimented by talks from ArtSway and Artworks Studios. Portfolio surgeries in both Fine Art and Illustration were available throughout the event and it was possible to take advantage of a career advice session from the Prince's Trust and Barclays Bank.
