If you thought a winter holiday was just about snowboarding or downhill skiing then Boardforge’s new Finnish snowkiting adventures might open your eyes to an amazing new play activity in the snow (and ice).
Snowkiting is a recently invented winter sport, using a snowboard, alpine skis or a Telemark skis, powered by a kite to travel across mountains, lakes and glaciers, even uphill. Boardforge proudly launch their new snowkite centre in late January in Lahti, Finland – the ideal location for this brand new and innovative sport.
Award winning design agency E-creation produced a new website in December for Boardforge, to showcase its unique winter sports experience in Finland with live feeds of the slopes, views from chalet and collection of short, fast cut and exciting films about the sport. Snowboarding and adrenaline sports fans are catered for comprehensively, with social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook providing blogs, pictures and live updates from the lives of snow professionals around the world, including hints and tips from Whistler-based pro snowboarder, Duncan Mainland.
